Best Kale Smoothie

Start your day off right with this simple and delicious Kale Smoothie. Five ingredients and a bullet blender are all that you need. You can alternate some of the fruit to your taste but I find the banana helps to make it a smoothie! For a more complete breakfast smoothie, add a tablespoon of your favourite organic protein powder. Vanilla works well.




Ingredients:


Half a large banana or one small one

Two pieces of frozen pineapple

2-3 Cups of Green Kale, just the leaves, pulled from the spine

3/4 Cup plain, unsweetened Kefir, or plain yogourt

1 Tablespoon of peeled raw ginger

1/4 to 1/2 Cup of water


*Optional: 1 Tablespoon of Organic Vanilla Protein Powder







Method:


Place the banana and pineapple in the bottom of a Nutri Bullet or Blender

Add the kale leaves

Cover with Kefir or yogourt

Top with Ginger

Add enough water to make it the consistency you like


*Add protein powder to above if desired


Blend until 'smooth'!


This is a yummy start to any day and with the added protein powder, it will keep you going until lunch time
